My trip to the Dallas Market
Well, let me start off by saying I am excited for spring and summer to get here. Me and a friend went shopping in the cold and rain. Here in Texas when it gets below 60 degrees we have on sweaters and jackets...I know we are (I should say my friend and I) are weenies. Did I mention it was also raining. Okay, besides the weather it was a wonderful day. My first appointment was with My Vintage Baby. WOW!!! That is all I have to say. Jessica keeps out doing herself. The My Vintage Baby line has it all. The "Girly Galore Collection" is just that, all about girls. It combines retro dots, kitsch girls, Vintage pillowcases, feed sacks, hankies, and chenilles. It's the perfect collection for a girl's day out. The "Garden Party Collection" was inspired by a beautiful garden in bloom. Retro flowers are mixed with polka dots and textures of vintage chenille flowers. Of course you will find vintage hankies and bright vintage repro fabrics which make these outfits very special. "Catwalk Collection" is part of the Leopard Daisy line, which I love! In this collection leopard prints (a staple color) are mixed with exotic botanicals. This collection is all the roar! The next collection in the Leopard Dasiy line is the "Dream Girl Collection". This collection combines fun, vibrant, fresh and playful patterns for a lot of fun. DOTS are the spotlight and the bigger, the better. I would like to thank Lisa for a fun time at the My Vintage Baby corporate showroom in Dallas. Thanks!!!
We then headed to the temporaries, and found the cutest new line "Lemon Loves Lime". I purchased these absolutely adorable skirts, and yes Kora will have to have one ... along with every other girl that I know. Joy Cha the designer and the "Mom in charge" was a great pleasure to work with and meet. She takes great pride in her product and let me tell you, IT SHOWS!
Then it was onto the Jennifer Rush showroom to view several lines that I will be picking up in the spring, and I love them all. The first line that we viewed was Baby Gassy Gooma. Purely Girly, is what this line is about. The feminine detailing reflected in this clothing line is inspired by all the fun and playful, sweet and feminine things we love in life. Does a girl ever really grow tired of wearing floral prints, ruffles, ribbons or bows? Baby Gassy Gooma doesn't think so, nor do I. The second line that I picked up at the Jennifer Rush showroom was monkeybarbuddies. What are these you ask? Well, they are great. Active girls can wear dresses and skirts worry free hanging around the playground in Monkeybar Buddies shorts. Better than bike shorts, these underpants will not bunch, stick to dresses or look bulky under your little girls clothes. Having to wear shorts under their dresses and skirts has now been made easy with monkeybarbuddies. Corkey's Kids was the last line that we looked at in this showroom and this line is so much fun, and practical. You will find timeless sundresses, baby doll dresses, capris, halter tops, shorts and baby bubbles that all have coordinating looks. The prints are exclusive and are designed In-House so you won't find them anywhere else!
Well at this point I thought my shopping spree was over until I came across the Button UP! showroom and saw the most adorable little girls petticoat that I have ever seen and they are made by Oopsy Daisy Baby. If you haven't heard of this line, let me say one of the most famous baby's today, Suri, likes Oopsy Daisy Baby! You can preorder these petticoats right now, so don't miss out on getting your little girls size in the color you want.
Like I said, "I can't wait for spring to arrive!"
